Conversion

– Change path. Abandon idolatry to worship the true God:

Acts 14:14 : But the apostles Barnabas and Paul, when they realized this, tore their clothes.

Acts 26:18 : To open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light.

1Th 1 :9 : How you abandoned idols and turned to God.

– Abandonment of sin to go to God through penance:

1Kings 8,46-50 : If, in the land of their exile, coming to themselves, they repent of their sins.

2Ch 7,14 : If he renounces his evil ways, I will hear from heaven and heal his land.

Tb 13,8 : Repent, sinners, and practice justice before God, trusting that he will show you mercy.

Eclo 17,21-24 : Convert to the Lord, abandon your sins.

Is 55,7 : Renounce the wicked to his behavior, and the sinner to his projects.

Ez 33,11 : I am not pleased with the death of the sinner, but rather with his conversion.

Gal 1,13-14 : I used to live in Judaism, with which excess I persecuted the Church of God and devastated her.

– God promises forgiveness to true conversion:

– Allow yourself to be reconciled with God:

2Cor 5,20 : In the name of Christ we implore you: be reconciled with God!

– There is joy in heaven over the conversion of one sinner:

Lc 15,7.10.22-23 : I tell you that there will be jubilation among the angels of God over one sinner who repents.

– Conversion of Saul:

Acts 9,3-4 : Falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him: “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”.

Acts 22,1-8 : And as I approached Damascus, at noon, suddenly a strong light from heaven surrounded me.

Acts 26:12-15 : I was on my way when a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shone.
