Apostasy

Ezekiel 2 :3 : Like his fathers, he has sinned against me to this day.

Acts 21:21 : They have heard of you that you teach the Jews, who live among the Gentiles, to forsake Moses.

2Th 2,3 : Let no one deceive you in any way. Because first the apostasy must come.

– Prevention:

Mt 7,15s : Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but […] they are ravenous wolves.

Act 20,29ff : Men will arise who will utter perverse doctrines, with the intent to snatch away the disciples after them.

Gal 1,69 : There are only people who sow confusion among you and want to disturb the Gospel of Christ.

Gal 5:10 : I have confidence in the Lord concerning you, that you will by no means change your mind.

Heb 13:9: Do not be led astray by the diversity of strange doctrines.

– Punishment:

1Tm 1,18s : Uphold the good fight, with faithfulness and a good conscience, which some have despised and made shipwreck of the faith.

Heb 3:12 : Take care, my brothers, so that none of you lose faith inwardly.

2Pd 2,15.17.21 : Better not to have known the way of righteousness than, having known it, to turn back.

– Examples of apostasy:

Ex 32 : The people you brought out of Egypt corrupted. They quickly deviated from the path I prescribed for them.

Judges 1,27–2,5 : Well, you did not obey my voice. Why did you do this?

2Ch 10,1–11,17 : The king [Rehoboam] had to […] flee to Jerusalem. […] the dissent of the house of Israel took place.

– Lasts today:

2Chr 18,1 : Jehoshaphat, who had wealth and glory in abundance, allied himself by marriage to Ahab.

2Ch 22,1 : In his place, the inhabitants of Jerusalem proclaimed Ochozias, his youngest son, king.
