– It is also another symbolic number for the Israelites and used in several parts of the Bible.

– In Eden there are four rivers, corresponding to the four regions of the world:

Gen 2:10 : A river came out of Eden to water the garden, and then divided into four branches.

– The winds:

Dan 11:4 : When he becomes powerful, his kingdom will be dismembered and divided to the four winds of heaven.

Mt 24:31 : He will send his angels with strident trumpets, and they will gather his chosen ones from the four winds.

Mk 13:27 : He will send the angels, and gather his elect from the four winds.

– The living creatures of Ezekiel’s vision, each with four faces and four wings:

Ez 1,5-6.10 : In the center, the image of four beings that appeared to have human form could be distinguished.

– And the animals around the throne of Being:

Revelation 4 :6 : In front of the throne and around it, four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind.

Rev 6:1 : Then I saw the Lamb open the first seal and I heard one of the four animals cry out with a voice like thunder: “Come!”.
