Paraclete

– From the Greek paracletos , defender, lawyer, comforter, aid, support, intercessor, is synonymous with the Holy Spirit, third person of the Holy Trinity:

Jo 14,16.26 : And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Paraclete, to be with you forever.

Jn 15:26 : When the Paraclete comes, whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father.

Jo 16,7 : However, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away! Because if I don’t go, the Paraclete won’t come to you.

– Who fulfills the same mission as Jesus: support, lawyer, intercessor:

1Jn 2,1-2 : If anyone sins, we have an intercessor with the Father, Jesus Christ the Just.

– With the meaning of intercessor, the term appears in:

Job 33:23 : If an angel is found near him, one intercessor among a thousand, to teach him what he should do.

– Is on:

Is 51,12 : It is I, it is I who comforts you! How can you fear a mortal?

– With the meaning of comforter:
