As it says in Psalm 34:18, “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those whose spirit is crushed.” Even when the community fails to provide the support we need, we can always turn to God in prayer and find comfort in his presence.
In summary, the importance of community in the midst of suffering is clear in the Bible. The presence of friends and family can bring comfort, encouragement, and perspective in difficult times. But at the same time, our ultimate hope must be in God, who is able to comfort and heal us even in the darkest of times.
