When we repent of our sins and confess them to God, He forgives us and cleanses us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). This allows us to be in a state of purity before God and thus approach Him with a sincere heart.
Finally, communion with God also involves service and love for others. When we love and serve others, we are reflecting God’s love and glorifying his name. The Bible says in 1 John 4:12, “No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is perfected in us.”
In short, fellowship with God is achieved through Bible reading, prayer, repentance and confession of sins, and love and service to others. When we follow these principles, we can be confident that we are experiencing deep and meaningful fellowship with God.
