A cloud

– In the Bible it has the religious sense of a sign of God’s presence. As such, it appears in several OT passages:

Ex 13:21 : The Lord went before them: by day in a pillar of cloud to guide them along the way.

Ex 16:10 : They looked towards the desert and, behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud!

Ex 24:18 : Moses entered the cloud and went up the mountain. He stayed there forty days and forty nights.

Ex 40:34 : Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.

Num 9:15 : On the day the tabernacle was set up, the cloud covered it.

Numbers 12 :5 : The Lord descended in the pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent.

– And also in NT:

Mt 17:5 : While he was still speaking, a bright cloud came and enveloped them.

Mt 24:30 : All the tribes of the earth will beat their breasts and see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven.

Mt 26:64 : From now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Almighty, and returning on the clouds of heaven.

Mk 9,7 : And from the cloud came a voice: “This is my beloved Son; I heard him”.

Mk 13:26 : Then they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with great power and glory.

Luke 9:34 : While he was still speaking, a cloud came and overshadowed them.

Luke 21:27 : Then they will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with great glory and majesty.
