They will be resurrected and have eternal life with Christ. Paul says that when that happens, “so we will always be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:17).

Knowing that they have the hope of being reunited with their loved ones in Christ and that they will have eternal life together can be a great comfort. Also, knowing that Christ will come again to take us to eternal life can be a great comfort amidst the suffering and pain of this life.
