– In religion, they are those books that were not included in the list (canon) of the Roman Catholic Apostolic Church (that’s why they are called non-canonical books), written between the 2nd century BC and 2d.C. However, its value is enormous because of its contribution to the knowledge of the cultural, historical and social environment of that time. There are books from both OT and NT times.
– In the Catholic Bible there are some books called deuterocanonical because they were admitted to the canon in a second list, also considered inspired. However, they are considered by Protestant churches as apocryphal. They are: Ecclesiasticus, Wisdom, Tobias, Judith, 1 and 2 Maccabees, parts of Esther and Daniel, and Baruch.
