When a person places his faith in Jesus, he is forgiven of his sins and justified before God (Romans 3:24-26).
Furthermore, the Bible teaches us that salvation is not just a matter of escaping the wrath of God. It’s also about having a relationship with God and living a life that pleases Him. Ephesians 2:8-10 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
In short, God’s wrath is a righteous response to sin and ungodliness. Everyone deserves God’s wrath, but those who put their faith in Jesus escape God’s wrath and receive salvation. Salvation is not just a matter of escaping God’s wrath, but also having a relationship with Him and living a life that pleases Him.
