– According to the OT, God created it by separating it from the sky and the upper and lower waters, and supported it on pillars:
Gen 1:1-2 : In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
1Sm 2,8 : And give them a throne of honor, for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s.
2Sm 22,8 : The earth shook and trembled, the foundations of the heavens shook.
Pr 8:29 : When he imposed rules on the sea, so that its waters would not exceed the limits.
Is 11:12 : He will set up his standard among the nations, […] from the four corners of the earth.
Rev 7:1 : After that, I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth.
– Belongs to God, is his footstool:

Ps 23:1 : The earth is the Lord’s and all that it contains, the earth’s orbit and all who dwell in it.
Ps 49,12 : If I was hungry, I didn’t need to tell you, because mine is the earth and all that it contains.
Is 66 : 1: This is what the Lord says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool”.
– It has the senses of cultivable field:
Gen 4:14 : And I must hide myself far from your face, becoming a wandering pilgrim on the earth.
– And homeland:
Mt 2:12 : Warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they returned to their homeland by another route.
– In an apocalyptic sense, it refers to the messianic age:
Is 30,23 : The Lord will give rain to the seeds with which you provide the soil and the bread that produces the earth.
2Pt 3:10 : On that day the heavens will pass away with a roar, the elements will melt and the earth will be consumed.
Rev 21: 1 : Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth.
– When the disciples of Jesus will be “salt of the earth”: Mt 5,13: You are the salt of the earth.
Mk 9.50 : Salt is a good thing; but if it becomes tasteless, with what will you restore its flavor?
Luke 14:34 : Salt is a good thing, but if it loses its flavor, with what will it regain it?
