Eschatology

– From the Greek éskhatos logia (treaty on the last realities), it is presented in the AT as the arrival of messianic times and the universal judgment:

Is 10:20 : At that time the remnant of Israel and the remnant of the house of Jacob will no longer lean on him who smites them.

Is 24-27 : Behold, the Lord devastates the land and makes it waste, upset his face and disperses its inhabitants.

Is 28 :5 : On that day the Lord of hosts will be a resplendent crown.

Ez 38–39 : On that day, plans will be born in your heart, and you will conceive wicked plans.

– In the NT, the prophecies about the Kingdom of Peace and Justice are fulfilled with the incarnation of the Son of God, already present within us, but its complete establishment will take place with the return of the Son of Man:

1Cor 15 : But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!

2Th 2 : But the Lord Jesus will destroy him with the breath of his mouth and will annihilate him with the brightness of his coming.

2Pt 3,3-7 : But the heavens and the earth that now exist are guarded by the same divine word.

Rev 21–22 : The first heaven and the first earth disappeared and the sea no longer existed.

– Jesus prophesies simultaneously about the destruction of the temple, the ruin of Jerusalem and the end times:

Mt 24,1-36 : As for that day and that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, but only the Father.

Mk 13,1-37 : The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.

Lc 21,5-24 : Days will come when of these things that you see, not one stone will be left on another: everything will be destroyed.
