– In the AT: Abel, Noah, Lot, Job, the Servant of Yahweh, the Messiah:

1Jn 3:12 : And why did he kill him? Because his works were evil, and his brother’s righteous.

Gen 6:9: It’s the story of Noah: Noah was a just and perfect man among the men of his generation. He walked with God.

Eclo 44,17 : Noah was judged just and perfect, and in the time of wrath he became the link of reconciliation.

Ez 14,14 : Noah, Daniel and Job, these three men would only save themselves, due to their justice – oracle of the Lord Yahweh.

2Pd 2,7 : Finally, he delivered righteous Lot, revolted by the dissolute life of those perverse people.

Job 32 :1 : As Job persisted in considering himself as righteous, these three men gave up answering him.

Is 53:11 : The Just One, my Servant, will justify many men, and will bear their iniquities.

Jer 23 :5 : I will make David sprout a righteous shoot who will be king […] and will exercise justice and equity in the land.

Mark 6:20 : For Herod respected John, knowing him to be a just and holy man.

Luke 2:25 : There was a man named Simeon in Jerusalem. This righteous and pious man was waiting for the consolation of Israel.

Luke 23:50 : There was a man named Joseph, a member of the council, an upright and just man.

Acts 10:22 : The centurion Cornelius, a righteous and God-fearing man, who enjoys an excellent reputation among all the Jews.
