– It is taken as a synonym of holiness; in this sense God the Father is called righteous:
Jr 12,1 : You are most righteous, Lord, that I enter into dispute with you.
Jn 17:25 : Righteous Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these know that you sent me.
Rom 3:26 : He manifests his justice at the present time, exercising justice and justifying the one who has faith in Jesus.
Rev 16:5: I then heard the angel of the waters say: “You are righteous, you who are and who were holy, who judged so”.
– Christ is the Righteous One:
Acts 3:14 : But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be given to you.
