Justice

– It is taken as a synonym of holiness; in this sense God the Father is called righteous:

Jr 12,1 : You are most righteous, Lord, that I enter into dispute with you.

Jn 17:25 : Righteous Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these know that you sent me.

Rom 3:26 : He manifests his justice at the present time, exercising justice and justifying the one who has faith in Jesus.

Rev 16:5: I then heard the angel of the waters say: “You are righteous, you who are and who were holy, who judged so”.

– Christ is the Righteous One:

Acts 3:14 : But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be given to you.

Acts 7:52 : They killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One, of whom you have now been traitors and murderers.

Acts 22:14 : God […] predestined you so that you might know his will, see the righteous man and hear the word of his mouth.

– This justice of God is communicated to us:

Rom 3,21-26 : Without the aid of the Law, the justice of God was manifested, attested by the Law and the prophets.

– By justice, God gives to each one what is due to him, according to his divine wisdom, goodness and mercy:

Wis 5,6-9 : We have strayed far from the truth: the light of justice has not shone for us.

Is 5,16 : And the Lord of hosts will triumph in judgment; the holy God will show himself as such, doing justice.

Is 56,1 : Do what is right and do what is right, because my salvation is coming soon and my justice is revealed.

Is 59,16s : So it was his own arm that helped him, and his righteousness that supported him.

Dn 9,7 : To you, Lord, justice, and for us shame, as it happens today to the people of Judah and Jerusalem.

– Judge each one as a just judge:

Ps 9,9 : He himself will judge the universe with justice, with equity he will pronounce sentence on the peoples.

Ps 95:10.13 : Say to the nations: “The Lord is King”. And (the earth) does not totter, because he upholds it. He governs the peoples with justice.

Is 11,3s : Your joy will be found in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by appearances.

Acts 17:31 : He fixed the day on which he will judge the world with justice, by the ministry of a man whom he destined for it.

Rev 19:11 : Its rider is called Faithful and True, and with justice he judges and makes war.

– By justice, fairness and fidelity with one’s neighbor are preserved:

1Kings 3 :6 : You have given […] your grace to your servant David […], because he walked before you faithfully in righteousness.

Pr 2,8s : Protects the paths of righteousness and guards the way of his faithful ones. Then you will understand justice and equity.

Pr 8,20 : I follow the path of justice, in the middle of the path of equity.
